Unanswerable without knowing what Paris normally costs, which is the question every deal alert quietly answers for you. We have 1,037 observed fares, so we can answer it directly.

For each city we publish three numbers. Normal is the median across all 26 US gateways — an ordinary price, not a find. Good is the 25th percentile: better than three quarters of the country pays. Exceptional is the lowest fare we saw from anywhere, so a fare below it beats every gateway in a full sweep and is worth booking on sight.

Where waiting for a drop actually pays

The gap between the typical price and the best one anybody gets, as a percentage. A wide gap means the route rewards patience and an alert is worth having. A narrow one means today’s price is roughly the price, and waiting buys you nothing but risk.

London has 47% of room — $771 is ordinary, $405 has been done. That is the profile of a route where an alert earns its keep. At the other end, Santorini has 13%, and the honest advice there is to book when you are ready rather than wait.

Why there are no deals listed on this page

Because we have not seen any we would stand behind, and a deals page padded with fares nobody verified is worse than an empty one. Everything above is a threshold, built from fares we actually observed and dated.

The deeper reason is structural. Genuine fare drops last hours to days — a flash sale, a pricing error, an airline defending a route it just launched. By the time a page like this could publish one, it is usually gone. That is not a flaw in the page, it is what a fare drop is, and it is the only honest argument for an alert: you are not buying a better search, you are paying someone to be watching when you are not.

When we do start logging drops, they will land here with the date seen, the route, and the fare — the same standard as every other number on this site. How often do these thresholds change?

The underlying grid is re-collected monthly, in one sitting, and stamped with its date. Thresholds move when the market moves — a new low from any of the 26 gateways lowers the exceptional bar for that city.
