That is how every eye-catching points valuation gets built. Ours is 1.2¢ because the fare worth dividing by is the one you would actually have paid.

Where you leave from moves this more than most people expect. These airlines price lowest out of New York at a $732 median. The cheapest single fare we recorded on any of them was $422 on SAS.
