What the data says this is worth

That figure comes from our own grid of 6,690 transatlantic fares, collected on a fixed week and published in full across this site. It is the same data behind every ranking here, and you can check it before you buy anything.

How it works

1. 1You send the trip. Home airport, rough dates, who is traveling, what you are willing to flex on. Four or five lines is enough.
2. 2We price it against the grid. Your route goes through the same fare data this site publishes: what it normally costs, what counts as a deal on it, and which carriers actually sell it.
3. 3You get the plan. Two or three costed routings with the trade-offs written out, the booking window for your dates, and the alerts to set.
4. 4One round of questions. By email, after you have read it. Most people have two or three.

What is a Europe Flight Plan?

A written plan for one trip, covering the flight side only: two or three costed routings with the trade-offs spelled out, the booking window for your dates, a cabin recommendation with the case for and against paying up, and deal alerts configured for your home airport. It is delivered within three business days and includes one round of follow-up questions.

How is this different from the free assessment?

The assessment prices your route against our grid and scores your flexibility, in about four minutes, for nothing. The plan is a person reading that answer and deciding what to do about it — which gateway to leave from, which week to book, whether the premium cabin is worth it on your particular route. Start with the assessment. Many people stop there, and that is a good outcome.

Will it actually save me money?

The honest answer is that it depends on how much flexibility you have. Across the 40 European cities we price, the median city costs $292 more from the worst US gateway than the best, and up to $552. If you can move airports or dates, a plan that finds one of those gaps pays for itself several times over. If your dates and airport are both fixed, there is less to work with and we will tell you that before you buy.

Do you book the flights?

Not on this service. The plan tells you what to book and when; you make the purchase. If you want the booking handled, that is the Award Booking Service, and it is for points bookings specifically.
